A dining room, a play room, a relaxation room or simply more living space, a well designed and constructed conservatory will compliment your home; adding both size and value to property.
You may already know exactly what you want from a conservatory, however if options such as a victorian (3 or 5 segment), Edwardian, Georgian, gable, p-shape or lean-to are somewhat daunting for you, fear not. We will happily provide you with expert advice and CAD drawings to ascertain which of the many options would best work for you, your home and your budget.
Should your conservatory involve any brickwork such as a dwarf wall, our brick matching service will ensure your new addition is a great match to your existing masonry.
As with all window units fitted your conservatory will of course benefit from the same high quality ‘A’ rated units. 28mm sealed units, filled with argon gas and warm edge spacer bars, steel reinforced and internally glazed; all features that give you peace of mind that your conservatory is as well insulated and secure as it is stunning.
You may opt for a polycarbonate roof, or choose to benefit from the easy-clean glazing and U-value of 1.1 associated with the Active Pilkington-K glass.
We can do as little or as much as you would like us to when it comes to the interior of your conservatory; installing heating and electrics, plasterboard and skimming, blinds, flooring and even the furnishings should you wish, or simply leaving you with the ‘blank canvas’ for you to decorate and fill as you see fit.
Foundation Specifics
Our strip footings are dug 800mm below ground level and filled with C30 concrete mix (a ready-mix cement that, unlike when mixed onsite, will not have varying strengths throughout the foundation). We use non-porous engineering bricks up to damp-course, followed by 150mm of rammed mot (ministry of transport approved material). The DPM sheets of plastic are then followed by foiled back foam insulation and 100mm of concrete. Many ‘cowboy builders’ or ‘cheap & cheerful’ options use a rubble within foundation, which is prone to movement over time. In addition they often go just 400mm deep and fill with hand mixed cement, with no insulation added either. Why compromise?
